About the Speaking Engagement (lecture goals / learning outcomes)

This is an in-person opportunity.

SOPHOMORES: Our students are interested in a wide variety of health-related careers. They have learned professionalism that can be attributed to all different types of careers, but specifically patient care.

Engagement Days & Times: M/Th (3rd period) and T/F (4th period) 10:25-12:10 or Wednesday: 3rd 10:10-10:50 and 4th:10:55-11:40. Either come 2 days in 1 week or reach both classes on a Wednesday.

SENIORS: We will be working on a research project in the second semester that involves a topic such as inflammation, diabetes, nutrition, etc. The students usually end the semester with CPR & First Aid training, concussion testing, injections, and sutures.

Engagement Days & Times: M/Th (5th period) and T/F (6th period) at 1-2:40 or Wednesday: 12:20-1:45

SOPHOMORES: Who We'd Love to Hear From Physical therapists, mental health professionals, genetics counseling, dentistry, veterinarian, and athletic trainers (preferred but not limited to).

SENIORS: Who We'd Love to Hear From Researchers, lactation specialists, OB/GYN, biotech, fitness trainers, kinesiology, nutrition professionals, speech therapists, and firefighters (preferred but not limited to).

Other Details

We ask that you come 2x in that same week to get all students in one grade, so either M/T, M/F, T/Th, or Th/F OR come on Wednesday and get both classes back-to-back.
