About Me
Lee-Sean Huang is a Taiwanese American designer, artist, and educator. He was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and grew up in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area. He now splits his time between Providence, Rhode Island and New York City. In 2013, he co-founded the service design and strategy practice, Foossa. Since then, he has collaborated with communities and organizations across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia to address social innovation challenges. He has taught design, innovation, and storytelling at New York University, the Parsons School of Design, and the School of Visual Arts. He currently serves as the Director of Design Content and Learning at AIGA, the oldest and largest professional association for design in the United States. His artistic practice includes photography, performance, and audiovisual media. His current creative focus on street photography and environmental portraiture grew out of the ethnographic research and documentation work that he carries out in his design practice. Lee-Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Harvard College and a Master of Professional Studies in Interactive Telecommunications from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
