I am a social scientist by training who has been specializing in the intersection between technology and society. I earned a doctoral degree from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University. Over the years, I have been a researcher and teacher at Stanford University, University of Washington (Seattle) and Georgetown University. I have also consulted in the private sector in sectors such as wholesale, finance and with one social media giant. I have also worn the hat of an activist and have worked on issues such as the right to food, education and information. I am proudest of my work as the coordinator of India's Right to Food Campaign in its early years. I also founded Libtech India while I was at Stanford University, which has done tremendous work in India. I am interested in bridging the worlds of social and technical imagination. We live at a time when technology pervades every aspect of our lives and has so much impact on democracy, development and human rights. In this context, I believe that it is important for some people to spend enough time understanding social sciences and technology. That is what I specialize in.
